Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will develop long-term, strategic partnerships with prospective clients. Upon the onset of new client relationships, the Business Development Manager will work with internal departments to smoothly and seamlessly transition the relationship to the designated service team with the goal of providing an exceptional first impression to new clients. Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Salesforce or CRM Experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sales Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Think strategically on ways to source and craft solutions for prospective clients
  • Lead sales process from opportunity all the way through to a successful close
  • Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients.
  • Work with the Business Development team to implement sales initiatives.
  • Attend trade shows networking opportunities and join networking groups.

  • Demonstrate servant leadership placing the best outcome for the client at the forefront of all decisions.
  • Ability to develop and nurture trust-based partnerships with clients and be viewed as a strategic partner by clients.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with business owners/executives, employees and internal staff on topics of the organization’s services and marketing materials.
  • Organizational skills (i.e. to be methodical, organized, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the Business Development Manager is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tolls or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The Business Development Manager/Charter Schools may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the Business Development Manager is placed in a comfortable office environment for approximately 80% of the work time. The noise level in the office environment is usually minimal. The other 20% of work time may be spent traveling, in his/her own vehicle, to prospective client site locations.
Work Schedule:
  • The Business Development Manager generally works during the regular business hours of AccessPoint; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a half an hour lunch.
  • Schedules may vary according to prospective client needs for earlier or later appointments.
  • All requests will be reviewed and a determination will be made to grant such requests based on business needs resulting in the department and/or company’s ability to grant such requests.

The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading the payroll team by utilizing effective communication and expectations to team members and management. The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading and directing the payroll operations, payroll taxes & compliance, and general ledgers to ensure the timeliness, efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing and associated deliverables. Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintain payroll information by building, preparing systems; directing the collection, calculation and entering of data.
  • Manages a staff of 6 team members.
  • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Works with Sales, HR, Benefits and IT to support client relations and onboarding.
  • Handle escalated payroll issues with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts. Oversees ACH payment processing for invoices and accounts receivable for collection of invoices.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions leave, disability and nontaxable wages.
  • Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
  • Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Month end and year-end reconciliation’s through to the W2 issuance.
  • Promotes a workplace environment focused on world-class customer service.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed
  • Organizational skills (i.e. to be methodical, organized, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple issues at once).
  • Computer Skills with experience in using Microsoft Office; Payroll Systems and Payroll Taxes.
  • Communication skills (i.e. effectively communicate with co-workers, clients and employees in an appropriate and professional manner whether that is in person, over the phone, or via email).
  • Ability to learn payroll computer system and its capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws as it relates to paying employees properly.
  • CPP or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Working knowledge of Kronos Workforce Ready and Salesforce a plus.
Work Environment
  • The Payroll Manager will be working at a desk in an office within the payroll department in a relatively quiet office environment.
Work Schedule
  • The Payroll Manager will be expected to work Monday thru Friday, beginning at 8:30 A.M. and ending at 5:00 P.M.
  • There may be times when payrolls run late, clients are waiting for requests to be completed, holiday processing weeks or at year-end, at which time the Payroll Manager will be expected to stay until all payrolls and tasks are completed.
